CV NEWS FEED // Just minutes after Democratic nominee Kamala Harris selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, a PAC supporting former President Donald Trump released an ad highlighting Walz’s consistent support of subjecting minor children to “transgenderism.”
“What could be weirder than signing a bill into law that requires schools to stock tampons in boys’ bathrooms?” said a female narrator in the 30-second ad by Make America Great Again Inc.
“Or weirder than signing legislation allowing minors to receive sex change operations?” the ad continued. “Try electing the man who signed those bills Vice President of the United States.”
“Enter chief weirdo Tim Walz,” the ad’s narrator said:
As Governor of Minnesota, Walz supported legislation that endangers minors, hurts women, and puts radical ideology ahead of common sense.
Now Kamala wants Walz to enforce those laws on a national scale.
The ad concluded: “Tim Walz. Too weird. Too radical.”
The Trump-aligned PAC’s repeated use of the word “weird” serves as a response to an accusation heavily used by Harris’ campaign against Republicans in the last month. Walz himself coined and popularized the “weird” talking point.
Walz said during an appearance on MSNBC last month: “These are weird people on the other side. They want to take books away. They want to be in your exam room.”
In recent weeks, Democrats have especially used the word “weird” to refer to Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance, R-OH, a Catholic convert who is from his party’s more socially conservative wing.

CatholicVote reported on Tuesday:
In March 2023, Walz issued an executive order that critics say “shielded” the subjection of minors to deeply controversial life-changing “transgender” procedures in the state.
“As states across the country move to ban access to gender-affirming care, we want LGBTQ Minnesotans to know they will continue to be safe, protected, and welcome in Minnesota,” the governor said at the time. “In Minnesota, you will not be punished for seeking or providing medical care.”
Conservative political commentator Benny Johnson praised the new ad this week, highlighting Walz’s pro-“transgender” record on X (formerly Twitter) and implying that it shows how Harris’ selection of Walz might “backfire” on the Democrats.
“Holy smokes. This will stick,” Johnson wrote in response to the pro-Trump ad. “Good luck selling this psychotic lunatic to parents and suburban moms.”
