CV NEWS FEED // Many of the groups financially backing the rampant and widespread pro-Palestine protests on the nation’s college campuses reportedly have financial ties to President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign and billionaires George Soros and Bill Gates.
POLITICO reported Sunday that “some of the groups behind the demonstrations receive financial backing from philanthropists pushing hard for [Biden’s] reelection.”
Donors funding the protests “include some of the biggest names in Democratic circles: [George] Soros, [David] Rockefeller and [Susan and Nick] Pritzker,” POLITICO’s analysis added.
This news comes even in light of the fact that many of the campus protesters – like many young Americans – are vocal critics of the Biden administration. Many have referred to the president with epithets such as “Genocide Joe,” POLITICO indicated.
“Two of the organizers supporting the protests at Columbia University and on other campuses are Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow,” the left-leaning news source added:
Both [groups] are supported by the Tides Foundation, which is seeded by Democratic megadonor George Soros and was previously supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It in turn supports numerous small nonprofits that work for social change.

Another notable Democratic donor whose philanthropy has helped fund the protest movement is David Rockefeller Jr., who sits on the board of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. It has given nearly $500,000 directly to Jewish Voice for Peace, which explicitly describes itself as anti-Zionist, over the past five years. Rockefeller Brothers has separately given grants to both the Tides Foundation and the Tides Center.

POLITICO noted that other groups “involved in” the protests “are backed by a foundation funded by Susan and Nick Pritzker, heir to the Hyatt Hotel empire,” who have given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Biden in the past several years.
Nick Pritzker’s first cousin once removed is Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, a major Biden ally.
On Friday, CatholicVote reported that a pro-Palestine student group which was one of the main organizers of Columbia University’s protest received three million dollars in funding from a collection of nonprofit organizations with alleged ties to Hamas.
“Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) organized the massive pro-Palestine protest at Columbia University in New York City which began on April 17 and in turn ignited demonstrations at a number of schools across the country,” CatholicVote added.
Reports listed the aforementioned Tides, one of the groups funding the SJP, as having alleged financial connections to the notorious terrorist organization.
