CV NEWS FEED // A pro-Palestine group that played a prominent role in helping jump-start the ongoing nationwide university protests received millions of dollars from organizations allegedly connected to Hamas, according to a new report.
Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) organized the massive pro-Palestine protest at Columbia University in New York City which began on April 17 and in turn ignited demonstrations at a number of schools across the country.
According to the Daily Mail, SJP is “a campus group with more than 250 chapters across the country.”
A new 73-page “report by the think tank Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), reveals [SJP] got millions from several charities with alleged links to Hamas,” the Daily Mail reported:
[The report] also pointed out explicit pro-Hamas statements, chants and placards by protesters, and asserted that the demonstration has crossed the line from criticism of the Israeli government to bald-faced antisemitism.
Per The Daily Mail, the ISGAP report revealed that over $3 million a year is being allocated to “campus chapters” of SJP. This money originated from “a constellation of charities,” alleged to have ties to the notorious terrorist group currently controlling the Gaza strip’s government.
The organizations “funding SJP include the Westchester People’s Action Coalition (WESPAC), Tides, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), its parent organization Americans for Justice in Palestine (AJP), and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP),” the Daily Mail indicated.

ISGAP Executive Director Dr. Charles Small told the Daily Mail, “[The protests are] being presented as a peace movement, that there’s Jews involved, that it’s not anti-semitic.”
“But when people chant ‘globalize the intifada’ it’s very clear,” Small continued. “What Hamas represents, its ideology, is a commitment to dismantling Israel and exterminating Jews around the world.”
As CatholicVote previously reported, video evidence shows that the word “intifada” was visibly graffitied onto a campus building at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) – where a now-dismantled protest encampment stood as recently as Thursday.
“Intifada” is “an Arabic word meaning ‘rebellion’ or ‘uprising,’ often used by Hamas and other terrorist groups,” CatholicVote’s Thursday report on the protests noted.

Columbia’s SJP chapter is described on the university’s website as “a student group organizing around human rights for Palestinians.”
“It follows the Palestinian Civil Society call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions of Israel,” the website continues.
The group’s Instagram account has over 100,000 followers.
