CV NEWS FEED // A member of the anti-Catholic drag group that was honored by the Los Angeles Dodgers has been arrested for indecent exposure following a reported public masturbation incident.
Daily Wire host Matt Walsh helped break the story through a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) Tuesday.
“A few months ago, the Left was celebrating the ‘Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence [SPI],’” Walsh wrote. “The LA Dodgers gave them an award. Public elementary schools invited them to read to children. Anyone who suggested this depraved group shouldn’t be applauded was labeled a hateful bigot.”
“Yet it’s been radio silence since the August 12 arrest of a ‘Sister’ for indecent exposure after witnesses say he masturbated in public,” Walsh continued.
“Meet Clinton Monroe Ellis-Gilmore, who, according to social media posts, goes by ‘Novice Sister Bethe Cockhim,’ & ‘Novice Sister Man Romeo.’”
Walsh said that according to a police report The Daily Wire obtained, “witnesses claim [Ellis-Gilmore] was masturbating in his car for an hour last month at a public beachside park that Google lists as ‘good for kids’ and ‘kid-friendly hikes.’”
“With the door open,” Walsh added. “In broad daylight. On a Saturday.”
The Daily Wire host also observed that a Facebook account likely belonging to Ellis-Gilmore, under his “drag” name “Bethe Cockhim,” was tagged in a 2018 picture in which he was wearing a wig with pigtails and fishnet tights while reading a book for a California elementary school.
The post described that Ellis-Gilmore and the other SPI members he was present with were teaching children about “LGBT Awareness Month.”
“Did this woke public school funded by taxpayers do any research on who they were inviting?” Walsh asked. He continued by showing pictures of anti-Catholic and explicit social media posts that were originally posted by the “Bethe Cockhim” account over the years.
“This isn’t about one person,” Walsh concluded. “[Ellis-Gilmore] represents a perverse, anti-Catholic worldview that every power center on the left promotes. We need to stop honoring these degenerates and start exposing them for what they are.”
The Daily Wire reported that according to Randy Fleek, a man who says he witnessed Ellis-Gilmore’s public masturbation and subsequent arrest, the SPI member “made no attempt to hide what was going on.”
“He said that Ellis-Gilmore parked two spots away from his trailer and had his left leg out the open door of the truck and right leg up on the dashboard with no pants on, which gave him full side view of Ellis-Gilmore ‘playing with himself,’” continued The Daily Wire.
“Well this is f***ed up,” Fleek said of what he saw. “It’s obvious. You cannot help but see this guy, he’s not hiding it. He wants everyone to see what he’s doing.”
He added that cars came and went throughout the hour, including some with young women. He also said that Ellis-Gilmore had his shirt on at the beginning but was naked by the end. He said he was happy when the sheriff deputies arrived, took him out of the truck, and got him dressed.
“There’s something wrong with that man. He’s got a weird f***ing desire to show off to the public, to anybody that wants to look at him,” Fleek said. “He puts himself in a position and in a spot that you can’t help but look at the son of a b***.”
On June 16, the Dodgers controversially gave a “Community Hero Award” to the SPI as part of their “Pride Night” celebration. The baseball team still went through with their decision even after CatholicVote brought the “drag” troupe’s extensive history of anti-Catholicism to light.
CatholicVote also launched a million-dollar ad campaign calling on the Dodgers to disinvite the group. On the night of the controversial event, a massive peaceful protest took place outside while the Dodgers quickly and quietly went through with honoring the hate group in front of a mostly-empty stadium hours before the game.
