CV NEWS FEED // According to exit poll data, 70% of New Hampshire voters who backed former Ambassador Nikki Haley in the state’s primary were not registered Republicans.
CNN polls showed that only 27% of voters who picked Haley over former President Donald Trump were registered Republicans. Seventy percent were registered as “undeclared.” The remaining 3% were unregistered before the Tuesday primary.
Meanwhile, 70% of Trump voters in New Hampshire were registered as Republican. Furthermore, 27% were “undeclared” and the same 3% were unregistered.
“It’s a complete reversal,” a CNN anchor noted while presenting the data. “It’s an alternate universe.”
“[Seventy] percent of [Haley] voters tonight were not registered Republicans,” CatholicVote wrote on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday night. “Upcoming primaries are restricted to Republican voters. Trump margins will only grow. It’s time to unite behind [Trump] and defeat [President Joe Biden].”
CatholicVote endorsed Trump for the presidency Monday, the day before the New Hampshire vote.
The Daily Wire noted: “The remaining primary slate will heavily favor Trump over Haley, who relied on independents, moderates, and secular voters to come in second place in New Hampshire.”
“The next contest is in Nevada, where Haley opted to not participate in the caucus and instead signed up to do the state’s primary where she will win no delegates,” the publication added.
Trump stomped to a double win in the New Hampshire primary, coming in about 11 points ahead of Haley.
With 95% of the state’s vote reporting, he had 54.4% compared to her 43.3%.

Multiple prominent Republicans quickly called for Haley to drop out of the race.
Notably, former 2024 presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy wrote in an X post Tuesday night that Haley’s decision to “[press] ahead exposes the ugly underbelly of this race.”
He went on to claim that Haley’s “donor puppet masters are propping her up long enough while plotting to eliminate Trump from the ballot.”
Also on primary night, an MSNBC interview with a young liberal Haley voter went viral on X.
The voter, who identified himself as Dartmouth University freshman Christian Smith, said that he “strategically” voted for Haley to “help diminish Trump’s influence” in the Republican Party.
Smith added that he would never vote for Haley in a general election, citing disagreement with her over climate change, abortion, and incarceration rates.
