Trump warned Israel Tuesday morning not to continue its attacks on Iran, saying it would be a “MAJOR VIOLATION.”
“ISRAEL,” Trump stated on Truth Social, “DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!”
Soon after, Trump insisted that “Israel is not going to attack Iran” and that the ceasefire is still in effect.
“All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran,” the president stated on Truth Social. “Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!”
Hours into a ceasefire deal that was meant to culminate in an end to the Israel-Iran conflict, Israel has vowed to heavily bomb Iran, claiming it had violated the agreement by firing two missiles just minutes after the ceasefire went into effect.
Ahead of that development, Israel had controversially launched some of its heaviest attacks on Iran during the final moments before the agreed ceasefire went into effect. Many onlookers, including Trump, denounced Israel’s last-minute attacks. Also widely decried were Iran’s retaliatory strikes, especially those that reportedly came just after the ceasefire’s agreed start time.
“These guys gotta calm down,” Trump said the next morning. “It’s ridiculous. I didn’t like plenty of things that I saw yesterday. I didn’t like the fact that Israel unloaded right after we made the deal … and I didn’t like the fact that the retaliation was very strong.”
As CatholicVote reported, Trump announced the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel Monday afternoon, saying the war would be considered “ENDED” in a matter of days.
“It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!” Trump wrote.
