CV NEWS FEED // The Hill this week recognized CatholicVote’s very own Director of Government Affairs Tom McClusky as one of the most influential grassroots lobbyists of 2024.
The Hill stated that those on the list were “the best in the business” and have a serious influence on the legislative process in Washington, DC:
The lobbyists on this list are some of the best in the business and have been go-to advocates during a year defined by unprecedented political events, legislative logjams, federal spending cut crusades, and big rulemaking swings by the outgoing Biden administration.
McClusky has been with CatholicVote since 2021 and, as CatholicVote previously noted, has been “a central player in sounding the alarm about the Biden administration’s attempts to roll back Trump-era religious freedom protections through the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Health and Human Services.”
McClusky attributed his passion and success to working for the causes CatholicVote champions. CatholicVote’s mission is to inspire every Catholic in America to live out the truths of the faith in public life.
“When you work for an organization and a cause that speaks to your very soul, any praise is gravy,” McClusky said in response to his inclusion on The Hill’s list of top lobbyists. “The movement is full of some really fantastic people,” he added.
McClusky has been an outspoken advocate for cultivating a culture of life in America and American politics, and CatholicVote President Brian Burch has referred to McClusky as a “warrior of life.”
