CV NEWS FEED // The National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin has come under fire for allowing a Satanic Christmas tree in their annual Festival of Trees display.
The Festival of Trees is an event that features trees representing groups across Northeast Wisconsin.
The Satanic Temple of Wisconsin sponsored a tree adorned in red lights and Satanic ornaments, with a snake coiled around the base of the tree.
According to a local news outlet, Museum CEO Jacqueline Frank acknowledged that the Satanic Temple of Wisconsin tree and the Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity tree have both received pushback from Museum visitors.
Frank defended the controversial displays, saying the trees are within the guidelines since they don’t promote hate, violence, or drug use.
“We believe that everybody should be included regardless of their religious group, regardless of any business or organization that they’re a part of. So we don’t discriminate, since we’re not a religious group ourselves,” Frank said.
As a group, Satanists mock religion and intentionally pervert the Christian faith through practices such as Black Masses.
Among those whose ire was provoked by the Satanic Christmas tree was Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-WI. The Museum is located in his district.
“Conservatives are often accused of launching a culture war or focusing or fixating on cultural issues,” Gallagher said in an interview with Fox News.
But here is a perfect example of how that’s not what’s happening. What’s happening is we’re just trying to defend basic traditions or defend our children in the midst of these basic traditions, from the encroachment of woke ideology or offensive upside down cultural propaganda.
Gallagher expressed frustration with the Museum’s “insufficient” response to the negative feedback:
When parents and concerned citizens have contacted the railroad museum, they have said, well, this is an educational opportunity for kids, which is completely ridiculous, right? I think it’s impossible to overstate how offensive this is to Christians. It would be, in quite a little sense, the same thing as waving a Hamas flag inside of a synagogue.
The Museum’s event page states:
We are grateful for all the businesses and organizations providing tree sponsorships! Their support is instrumental in helping grow the Museum and our educational mission. For questions, please email Liz Van Pay, Events Coordinator, at nrrmevents@nationalrrmuseum.org!
