CV NEWS FEED // Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reportedly offered to arrange a deal with Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in which he would drop out of the race and endorse her in exchange for a position in her potential administration.
Kennedy quickly dismissed the reports as “fake news” and issued a stunning rebuke of Harris’ candidacy and the Democratic Party. Kennedy was a lifelong member of the party until last October.
The Washington Post reported Wednesday evening that Harris’ campaign had “not responded with an offer to meet or shown interest in [Kennedy’s] proposal.”
According to the Post, Kennedy met with President Donald Trump in Milwaukee last month “to discuss a similar policy role and endorsement that resulted in no agreement.”
“In those discussions, Kennedy spoke about advising Trump in a second term on health and medical issues,” the Post clarified.
On Thursday morning, Kennedy took to X (formerly Twitter), posting a lengthy message denouncing Harris and the 2024 Democrats, likely in response to the Post’s report the evening before.
“I have no plans to endorse Kamala Harris for President,” he emphasized. “I do have a plan to defeat her.”
“VP Harris’s Democratic Party would be unrecognizable to my father and uncle and I cannot reconcile it with my values,” Kennedy wrote, referring to the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and President John F. Kennedy.
“The Democratic Party of RFK and JFK was the party of civil liberties and free speech,” he continued:
VP Harris‘s is the party of censorship, lockdowns, and medical coercion.
Kennedy Democrats were anti-war. Kamala‘s is riddled with neocon warmongers.
The RFK/JFK dems were allies of Main Street, cops, firefighters, and working people. VP Harris’s is the Party of Big Tech, Big Pharma and Wall Street.
“My dad and uncle’s party was the champion of voting rights and fair elections,” Kennedy added. “VP Harris’s is the party of lawfare, disenfranchisement, and the coronation of its candidates by corporate donors and party elites.”

His post went on, scrutinizing Harris’ controversial record on crime and her recent avoidance of the media:
I’ve used our nation’s courts to prosecute corporations who hurt Black Americans. VP Harris used our nation’s courts to mercilessly prosecute Black Americans and exploit them for their labor.
My father and uncle prided themselves on their skills at debate and their ability to articulate a coherent vision for our country. VP Harris is scared to debate and can’t survive an unscripted interview.
“Instead of outlining a vision, [Harris] relies on middleschool tactics,” Kennedy further noted, “memes, forged headlines, infantile slogans (Joy!) and name calling (‘Republicans are weird.’)”
“I’ve spent years battling government corruption and lies,” he concluded. “VP Harris spent years gaslighting Americans about the health of our Commander in Chief [President Joe Biden].”
