CV NEWS FEED // Pope Francis and all the dicasteries of the Roman Curia have suspended activities during the first week of Lent to pause for a spiritual moment of recollection.
The suspension of activities for the whole week are a response to the invitation the Holy Father made to all Cardinals resident in Rome, the heads of Dicasteries and the Superiors of the Roman Curia, “to undertake a period of Spiritual Exercises in a personal way, suspending work activities and gathering themselves in prayer in the first week of Lent.”
The suspension of activities started on the afternoon of Sunday February 18 and will remain in place until the afternoon of Friday, February 23.
During the week, no news will be released by the Vatican press office, and all of Pope Francis’ engagements, including the General Audience on Wednesday February 21, will be suspended.
