CV NEWS FEED // Volunteers are needed in Indianapolis, Indiana, this July to assist at the National Eucharistic Congress, according to a recent email.
“Over 200 Catholic organizations and apostolates have stepped up to be a part of this moment in various ways, but we need individual Catholics to help out too! The rebirth of this incredible legacy can only happen if we all pitch in,” reads a May 31 email from the Congress.

The Congress will take place from July 17 to July 21. According to the Congress’ “Volunteer” website page, full-time volunteers are required to arrive by July 16 for orientation and training. Costs of travel and accommodations will not be covered by the Congress, but a special housing package for full-time volunteers is offered.
The email from the Congress notes that full-time volunteers will receive several perks, including free lunch and dinner for all of the event days.
“When not on duty, Volunteer Staff will be able to access and attend available Congress sessions for FREE (they do not need to purchase a Congress Pass). Some roles will experience more programming than others,” the email adds.
There is also a need for shift volunteers, who are part time.
The email continues: “These [shift volunteers] can be Day Pass holders who want to attend some days of the Congress and serve on other days, Full Event Pass holders who want to serve for a few hours while at the event, or individuals without a pass who still want to be a part of the Congress in some way.”
The email highlights that those interested in volunteering should reach out to the Congress by June 15. They can learn more here.
