CV NEWSFEED // Lowe’s recently announced plans to drop its controversial diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies amid a customer-led crusade against “woke” policies in corporate America.
Conservative commentator and filmmaker Robby Starbuck on Monday showcased an email in an X post outlining the changes the home improvement giant stated it would make to company practices.
“Big news: I messaged Lowe’s executives last week to let them know that I planned to expose their woke policies,” Starbuck wrote. “This morning I woke up to an email where they preemptively made big changes.”
“Here are the changes,” Starbuck wrote:
• Ending participation in the @HRC’s woke Corporate Equality Index social credit system.
• No more donations to pride events or other divisive events.
• Ending ERG groups in favor of one large unifying ERG group for all employees, no longer designed to focus on race or sexual orientation.
CatholicVote previously reported the success of Starbuck’s campaign against “woke” policies at companies such as John Deere, Tractor Supply, and Harley-Davidson.
“We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose,” wrote Starbuck. He credited the success of his work to American consumers.

Lowe’s had been under investigation by Starbuck for participating in the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI) scoring and DEI-based Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Additionally, Starbuck and his team were looking into the company’s history of funding pride events and “gender transition” surgeries in their healthcare policies.
“The full email sent out by Lowes executive leadership team this morning,” continued Starbuck. “Lowe’s press office confirmed it was real when I contacted them and a source at Lowe’s told me the changes are a direct response to our work.”
The message from Lowe’s executives read:
As you know, over the past few years, we have been narrowing our community and philanthropic areas of focus to strategically align with our business, with a concentration in three areas: safe and affordable housing/community improvement, disaster relief and skilled trades education. As a result, Lowe’s will focus on events that have the biggest impact to these three areas. We will not sponsor and participate in community events that are outside of this scope, such as festivals, parades and fairs. However, should they wish to do so, associates are welcome to engage in their communities and participate in events and activities in their personal capacity. We’re proud of our associates who contribute countless hours of Lowe’s paid give-back time to improve their communities in efforts of their own choosing.

“We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America,” declared Starbuck.
“So far you’ve helped me change corporate policy at Tractor Supply, John Deere, Harley Davidson, Polaris, Indian Motorcycle and now Lowe’s. We are a force to be reckoned with.”
