CV NEWS FEED // According to federal government statistics, hundreds of thousands of migrants convicted of crimes, including over 13,000 convicted of homicide and over 25,000 of sexual crimes, are currently inside the United States.
“Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants with sex offenses and homicide convictions are loose on the streets, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data provided to lawmakers this week,” FOX News’ Adam Shaw reported Friday afternoon.
Biden-Harris administration acting ICE Director Patrick Lechleitner shared the stunning data in a letter to Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-TX. Lechleitner’s letter, dated Wednesday, was in response to an inquiry the border congressman made into the matter back in March.
ICE is an agency of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
“I am responding on behalf of the Department and apologize for the delay,” Lechleitner wrote to Gonzales.
The administration official’s letter included a chart showing that a total of 425,431 non-detained foreign nationals convicted of crimes are in the country.
Per the same chart, an additional 222,141 non-detained non-citizens with pending criminal charges are also inside the nation’s interior.
These two numbers add up to a total of 647,572 migrants currently in the United States either convicted of or charged with a crime.
In addition to the 13,099 migrants in the country convicted of homicide, 15,811 are convicted of sexual assault, and 9,461 of other sexual offenses.
Furthermore, per ICE, 62,231 non-detained migrants in the country were convicted of assault and 56,533 saw convictions related to “dangerous drugs.”

Gonzales responded to the data by scrutinizing the immigration policies of the incumbent administration.
“We’ve known for far too long that the Biden-Harris border crisis poses a direct threat to Americans,” the congressman said, as reported by NewsNation Correspondent Ali Bradley.
“The truth is clear,” Gonzales stated,
illegal immigrants with a criminal record are coming into our country. The data released by ICE is beyond disturbing, and it should be a wake-up call for the Biden-Harris administration and cities across the country that hide behind sanctuary policies.
“The Biden-Harris administration also plays a part in cleaning up the mess their failed policies have created,” the lawmaker stressed. “They have the ear of sanctuary city mayors—it’s time to encourage them to reverse course and put the safety of American citizens first.”
Gonzales’ district stretches for hundreds of miles along the Texas-Mexico border.
FOX News national correspondent Bill Melugin said during a Friday broadcast: “What we’ve learned from the acting ICE director via this letter to Congressman Tony Gonzales is, right now, there are over 13,000 illegal aliens convicted of homicide who are roaming the United States….”
“This just goes to show,” he said, “the non-detained docket has exploded under the Biden administration to over, I believe it’s 7.3 million.”
“They’re anticipating it could hit 8 million by the end of the year,” Melugin added:
The jaw-dropper here too, guys, is all these numbers we just rattled off, they don’t even account for the nearly 2 million “gotaways” who have crossed our border under the Biden administration.
Those almost 2 million ‘gotaways,’ they were never encountered by DHS. They snuck in. They were never caught by border patrol. They were never encountered by ICE. There’s no record of them, so they have nothing to do with the numbers I just rattled off to you.
Former President Donald Trump weighed in on the bombshell letter.
“According to this brand new data,” Trump said during a Friday rally in Michigan “over 13,099 convicted murderers have crossed the border and are free to roam and kill in our country.”
“These are convicted murderers, these are people that were in jail,” he added, noting that he has “been talking about this for three years,” since the Biden-Harris administration took office.
Trump stressed that due to these revelations, effectively, “every state is a border state.” He referred to the fact that the administration has flown a substantial number of migrants into the country.
The Republican nominee also discussed the alarming number of released migrants who have been convicted for rape or sexual assault.
“These are people all in jail,” he said. “Because they don’t want them in jail. They’re too expensive and they don’t want them in their countries.”
“They give them to us,” he said. “We’re like a dumping ground.”
