CV NEWS FEED // Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly considering selecting Brian Fallon, a Democratic activist who advocated for various far-left policies, as her White House press secretary if she wins November’s presidential election.
On Wednesday morning, Axios co-founders Mike Allen and Jim VandeHei released a report titled “Behind the Curtain: The Harris Cabinet.” The report details what the authors called “preliminary” options for a host of high-profile roles in a potential Harris administration.
Allen and VandeHei wrote that if she is elected in November, Harris “is expected to name a Cabinet and West Wing that are younger than President Biden’s, with more people of color, sources close to her tell us.”
For the position of White House Press Secretary, Allen and VandeHei stated that Fallon, “the Harris campaign’s senior adviser for communications, would be a top contender for the podium.”
“Fallon is an alumnus of Sen. Chuck Schumer’s tough office, plus the Justice Department and the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign,” the Axios co-founders noted.

Following the release of Axios’ report, JCN (formerly the Judicial Crisis Network) President Carrie Severino pointed out that Fallon is “the founder of left-wing dark money group Demand Justice.”
“The same Brian Fallon who’s led the calls to pack the Supreme Court and defund the police,” the Catholic lawyer added.
Severino pointed to two of Fallon’s X (then Twitter) posts from 2020 in which the Democratic official publicly advocated for both of these stances.
On October 26, 2020 – the day the Senate narrowly voted to confirm Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court – Fallon called to “Expand the Court.”
“Dont [sic] let Mitch McConnell and Brett Kavanaugh have the final say on what a Biden administration and a Democratic Congress can pass,” Fallon wrote.
Just months earlier, Fallon wrote a post simply stating “Defund the police.” He sent the post on June 3, 2020, during the height of that year’s violent and deadly BLM- and Antifa-backed anti-law enforcement riots.
When he sent both of these posts, Fallon was, per his LinkedIn page, serving as Demand Justice’s executive director.
He ultimately stepped down from this position in September 2023. Three months later, he joined the Biden-Harris re-election campaign “as Vice President Harris’s communications director,” The Washington Post reported at the time.

On its website, Demand Justice describes itself as “building a progressive movement to restore the ideological balance and legitimacy of our federal courts by advocating for court reform and progressive, diverse judges.”
In recent years, leftist activists have often used “court reform” to refer to policies that many critics say amount to unconstitutional court packing.
