CV NEWS FEED // CatholicVote on Thursday unveiled a new ad confronting the Biden administration’s treatment of migrant children at the border. The ad is set to run in the key battleground states of Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada.
The ad is titled “Protect the Vulnerable.” It shows several images of migrants – many of them young children – visibly struggling at the border.
The images are accompanied by a quotation from a migrant: “They raped us so many times… they didn’t see us as human beings anymore.”
Furthermore, the ad indicates that the droves of immigrants pouring over the border include “terrorists,” “convicted criminals,” “gang members,” and “1.8 million ‘Gotaways.’”
It also mentions the scandal of the at least 85,000 unaccompanied migrant children whom the Biden administration has lost track of and remain missing.
“Protect the Vulnerable. Secure our Border,” the ad concludes.
The New York Post reported that the ad “aims to show the suffering taking place due to Biden’s inaction on illegal immigration.”
“CatholicVote’s six-figure ad buy will target observant voters in … states where Biden narrowly defeated Donald Trump in 2020,” the Post added.
CatholicVote President Brian Burch said that Catholics “are indeed called to affirm the dignity of every person, be he a citizen, migrant, refugee or asylum seeker.”
“But Catholics are not obliged to endorse a lawless open border as cartels, coyotes, traffickers, and criminal gangs exploit the vulnerable,” he continued:
America needs immigrants. We can and should welcome them into our country. We always have.
But we also have a legal process, however cumbersome, that must be respected. The Biden administration has not only failed to uphold these laws… they have recklessly encouraged the chaotic and cruel migration of millions of vulnerable people, resulting in violence, exploitation, and unspeakable cruelty – and of late, growing criminal violence in our cities and murder of our own citizens.
“This isn’t compassionate or humane,” Burch emphasized.

Burch said that Biden “is not a president who cares about or even understands the plight of the weak and vulnerable” and his attempt to “paint a rosy picture of the country in his State of the Union address” is “shameful political posturing designed to save himself from a country that has zero confidence in his ability to protect those who need him the most.”
