CV NEWS FEED // The Biden administration reportedly did not respond when asked if it would include pro-Palestine protestors in its “student loan forgiveness” programs.
On Monday morning, FOX News reported that its reporters had asked the White House the previous day “if the administration plans to bar student protesters from eligibility for student loan forgiveness programs.”
FOX noted that it “did not receive a response.”
The network specified that it “also asked if the administration is weighing such an option, if students would be barred based on arrests or through college and law enforcement investigations.”
Again, the White House did not respond.
Many of the president’s critics took to X (formerly Twitter) to bash the apparent silence.
Rep. Richard Hudson, R-NC, wrote: “These antisemitic mobs are chanting, ‘Burn Tel Aviv to the ground’ and ‘Death to America.’”
“Yet the Biden admin wants taxpayers like you to pay off these terrorist sympathizers’ student loans?” he asked.
“Outrageous,” added Hudson who currently serves as the Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).
Similarly, parental rights advocate Nicki Neily asked: “Why should American taxpayers be on the hook for these hateful students?”
Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-IA, posted a screenshot of an article showing an image from a student protest at UCLA.
“And Biden wants you to pay off all their student loans…” she wrote on X.
Meanwhile, conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza posted a video to X of Harvard protestors hoisting the Palestinian flag in front of a campus building where the American flag usually flies.
“Is this the student loan debt Biden wants to forgive?” he asked.
Directly replying to the FOX article, conservative radio host Mark Levin wrote: “Biden unconstitutionally gives billions to the Hitler youth in student loan forgiveness.”
Even before FOX contacted the White House, many conservatives voiced their opposition to the prospect of the Biden administration forgiving the pro-Palestine protestors’ student loans.
Sen. Rick Scott, R-FL, wrote on X Friday: “The same antisemitic students of ‘elite’ colleges and universities that are supporting Hamas and targeting innocent Jewish students are asking Joe Biden to forgive their loans.”
“The Left is radical and totally disconnected from American values in every way,” he added.
The same day, Rep. Rich McCormick, R-GA, posted to X a picture of one of the protest’s encampments.
“In Joe Biden’s America, hard working blue collar Americans that didn’t go to college are being forced to pay the student loans of kids that went to college to do this,” McCormick pointed out.
On Monday, in response to the FOX story, an X user who goes by the name “Shelley G,” posted a video of a “drag queen” reading to young children and telling them to shout “free Palestine.” The story had previously been reported by The New York Post.
The “drag queen” has been identified as Harris Kornstein – who goes by the name “Lil Miss Hot Mess.”
Shelley G further noted that Kornstein “is currently receiving a $60,000 grant from the Biden Administration’s National Endowment for the Humanities,” and linked to his grant information.
Again from FOX’s Monday morning report:
Last year, the Supreme Court struck down the Biden administration’s plan to give up to $20,000 in debt relief per person, though the administration has remained committed to canceling debt through other avenues, including through established relief programs. As of this month, the administration has forgiven roughly $153 billion in debt among about 4.3 million Americans
