CV NEWS FEED // The newly elected Democratic president of a school board in the Philadelphia suburbs took her oath of office Monday. She eschewed the use of a Bible and instead placed her hand on a stack of sexually explicit LGBTQ books marketed toward children.
“I do not take this hand lightly,” Smith said upon her swearing-in. “I feel it as a very heavy responsibility, and you have my word, I will do my best for everyone.”
The Democrat’s husband held the stack up for her. A book on which the incoming Central Bucks School Board President swore was “Flamer,” which according to FOX News “includes characters discussing pornography, erections, masturbation, penis size, and an illustration that depicts naked teenage boys.”
Smith’s stack of books also included three other sexually explicit volumes: “The Bluest Eye,” “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” and “Lily and Dunkin.”
The author of “All Boys Aren’t Blue” has described it as a “memoir-manifesto.” The book contains graphic depictions of homosexual intercourse and masturbation.
“Lily and Dunkin” features a protagonist that is a “transgender” minor.
“These are the people in charge of your kid’s education,” wrote the popular X (formerly Twitter) account Libs of TikTok.
Conservative journalist Sarah Fields called Smith’s decision a “virtue-signaling display.”
“With her hand placed on soft porn instead of the Bible, Smith took her oath as the new school board president for Central Bucks, PA,” she wrote on X. “There is NO virtue in this.”
