CV NEWS FEED // At least three women who say they were coerced into receiving so-called “gender-affirming care” as minors are now suing the doctors who “transitioned” them, citing profound physical and psychological damage.
Valerie Richardson of The Washington Times reported Tuesday that an increasing number of people have “detransitioned” or stopped identifying with “transgenderism.”
These “detransitioners” include Soren Aldaco, Chloe Cole, and Prisha Mosley. All three “were prescribed drugs and underwent breast removals in their teens to adopt [a male] identity and later realized they preferred” being women, Richardson continued:
They are suing the medical professionals who signed off on puberty blockers, hormone therapies and surgeries. They accuse the physicians of rushing them into gender-reassignment treatment as a fix for their mental health problems without adequate screenings or warnings about the long-term physical and psychological risks.
In July, then-21-year-old Aldaco announced she was suing the clinic that had “transitioned” her as a minor for “gross malpractice.” According to FOX News, “she was put on puberty blockers at 17 and was pressured into a botched double mastectomy that she says left her ‘permanently disfigured.’”
“I want to make sure that this conversation is spoken about and talked about compassionately because I really do think that a bunch of people are hurting and the way we are handling it right now is just not appropriate,” she said that month in an interview with FOX’s Laura Ingraham.
Aldaco is autistic. CatholicVote previously reported that, according to a recent study, “people who identify as ‘transgender’ or ‘non-binary’ are three to six times more likely to have autism than people who do not.”
Cole is suing the hospital system Kaiser Permanente. The Dhillon Law Group claims she “underwent harmful transgender treatment, specifically, off-label puberty blockers, cross-sex hormone treatment, and a double mastectomy,” a process that began when she was only 13 years old.”
According to the Dhillon Law Group, Kaiser Permanente
falsely informed Chloe and her parents that Chloe was at a high risk for suicide, unless she socially and medically transitioned to appear more like a male. Chloe has been informed by her parents that Defendants even gave them the ultimatum: “would you rather have a dead daughter or a live son?”
“Chloe will be seeking punitive damages based on the evidence of malice, oppression and fraud,” the firm continued.
Mosley in July filed a lawsuit against the North Carolina doctors and counselors who had “transitioned” her.
Per The Carolina Journal, Mosley claimed the defendants
“lied” to her by stating that transitioning from female to male would solve her mental health issues.
The complaint also states doctors injected her with testosterone shots which caused her to develop a deeper voice and led to considerable physical pain. Mosley also claims she may be infertile as a result of the testosterone.
Doctors also removed Mosley’s breasts in a procedure known as “top surgery.”
Like Aldaco and Cole, Mosley was pressured to “transition” when she was still a minor.
“These lawsuits are rightfully a huge threat to the ‘gender-affirming care industry’ because they are exposing the dark side of a dangerous agenda that is hurting an untold number of vulnerable teens,” said Charles S. LiMandri, a Catholic San Diego-based lawyer whose firm represents “detransitioners.”
“We’re going to see more and more of these cases,” he added.
