CV NEWS FEED // Kaiser Permanente (KP), a major healthcare provider in the Western and Southeastern United States, promoted the idea that preschool-age children can be “transgender” in a recent employee training.
Libs of TikTok, a popular social media account aimed at exposing the far-left, wrote on its affiliated Substack last week that an employee of the health system reached out to them “after she was mandated to take a new staff training on ‘gender affirming care.’”
“The employee, who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of losing her job, was horrified that a healthcare facility would be promoting the mutilation and castration of children,” the Susbtack post continued.
As seen in a leaked video embedded on Libs of TikTok’s post, some of the “learning objectives” of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training are as follows:
Explain the importance of gender affirming care to [KP] employees staff and patients.
Describe and use the appropriate terms that allow for understanding and delivering of gender affirming care.
Recognize the experiences transgender, gender diverse, and intersex patients face, and determine how that might impact your interactions and the care you provide.
FOX News reported that in the training, Kaiser Permanente “medical employees were expected to watch a video with children explaining they knew they were transgender at age 3 and 4.”
From FOX:
“Many transgender people have ALWAYS known their true gender,” the video said.
“My name is Rose. I’m a transgender girl. I was born a boy, but I always knew that I was a girl,” a child said.
Rose’s dad then explained the child would write notes to Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy asking to be turned into a girl.
An adult trans-identified man [sic] said, “When I was 3, I decided that I was going to be a father and marry Janet Jackson.”
A mom proceeded to explain how her trans child, Elie, was “a girl in her heart and brain” by age 4.
However, in a statement to FOX, Kaiser Permanente clarified that despite the contents of their video, they do “not provide hormone treatments or gender-affirming surgery to 3 and 4-year-olds.”
“While the video includes two children speaking about how they view their gender identity, the video does not speak to any adolescent transgender care or treatment plans,” the hospital group said in their statement.
Again from Libs of TikTok:
More of the training video feature a variety of transgender people speaking of how unsafe they feel, the dangers of using a gendered restroom, and claims of “violence.” The most oppressed and marginalized group who only have their flags hanging all over schools, stores, libraries, streets, offices, etc., are of course, the true victims.
Founded in 1945 and based in Oakland, CA, Kaiser Permanente currently serves patients in eight states: California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Oregon, Virginia, and Washington state, as well as Washington, D.C. It is the fourth-largest health system in the United States by net patient revenue.
