CV NEWS FEED // CatholicVote President Brian Burch is calling on American Catholics to pray a daily rosary throughout the month of October — traditionally held to be the Month of the Rosary.
Burch noted that a number of other organizations have been calling on their members to do the same, and the timing, he said, couldn’t be more appropriate. “Catholics across America are organizing this month to pray the rosary,” he said. “CatholicVote is proud to join the movement, and has pledged as an organization to pray the rosary daily for our country.”
In a special way, the CatholicVote staff will be praying for “the cause of the unborn, with the Supreme Court set to hear the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case on Dec 1,” Burch said.
As CatholicVote has reported, Dobbs will decide the validity of a Mississippi law that bans abortions after 15 weeks of gestation:
If the Supreme Court rules in favor of Mississippi, it will effectively be ruling that Roe v. Wade’s contention that abortion is a constitutional right is void, freeing up state lawmakers to outlaw abortions throughout the U.S.
Burch asked CatholicVote’s staff to join him in the daily rosary this month, but he also invited the wider CatholicVote family — from subscribers to The Loop to CV Champions Club members — to join in, as well as encourage people in their own lives to be a part of the effort.
“Join the movement, organize your parish, friends, and family, or just make a personal commitment,” Burch said. “Our Lady never disappoints.”
