Last week, we reached out.
And you answered in force.
One of the best parts of working for CatholicVote is that everyone in the family – and that includes you – is first and foremost a prayer warrior.
So we knew that when Mark Houck said he needed prayers in his courageous lawsuit against the Biden Department of Justice, you’d be there for him.
And you were.
Over 1,000 Masses and Holy Hours.
Over 1,400 Rosaries.
When our Vice President Josh Mercer called to tell the Houcks the good news, Mark was so moved that he asked if he could record a video of thanks to share with all of you.
Watch it now:

One LOOPer summed up how we all feel about Mark: “God bless you and your family! And thank you for fighting for all of us who value the sanctity of life!” wrote Helen from Medford, OR.
Acts of bravery make a huge impact on the young – and you’ll love what we heard from Dominic, a high school senior from California. His letter to Mark is a sign of hope for our great nation:
I am a high school Senior who joined the Loop in the Summer of 2022. One of the biggest topics of debate there was the injustice done to you by the federal government, and I cannot express how much I admire men like you standing up for what’s right in the face of adversity. You are going beyond what most people would do, having secured their rights and pushing for reparations from that past injustice. Thank you for leading by example, and I hope one day I will be able to set an example for people the way you are, even if on a smaller scale.
God bless the Houcks, and God bless all of you for your solidarity and support.
We know God hears the prayers of his faithful ones – “Amen, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.” (Matthew 18:19)
May God grant everyone fighting for our freedom grace, courage, and joy this coming Advent season.
