CV NEWS FEED // Ryan T. Anderson’s book responding to the transgender movement has returned to Amazon after the company banned it for four years.
Anderson, a Catholic and the president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, published the book in 2018. According to the Amazon description, the book “offers a balanced approach to the policy issues, a nuanced vision of human embodiment, and a sober and honest survey of the human costs of getting human nature wrong.”
Anderson wrote on his X account, “Love to see it. After a four year ban, Amazon has returned my book to their cyber shelves. Am grateful to all my friends and allies who pushed for this to happen.”
The National Coalition Against Censorship reported in 2021 that Amazon explained why the book was banned after four senators expressed concern over the removal.
Amazon, at the time, stated that it has “chosen not to sell books that frame LGBTQ+ identity as a mental illness.”
