CV NEWS FEED // President-elect Donald Trump and Vice-President-elect JD Vance are launching a newsletter from the Trump transition team in order to communicate directly with the American people and circumvent the corporate media, according to a Tuesday exclusive report from The Daily Wire.
The Trump transition team stated that the goal of the newsletter, called “Road to 47,” was to provide information directly to voters, countering media narratives that paint the incoming administration in a bad light.
According to the Trump team, the newsletter is designed to be for everyone and to bridge the gap between the media, government, and the American public.
The newsletter will cover nominations for Trump’s cabinet, nomination processes, and attempts by the Biden administration to disrupt Trump’s plans to solve the border crisis.
Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt announced the Trump-Vance ticket’s decision to start the newsletter. “For far too long, the American people have been kept in the dark by bureaucrats and elites in Washington, DC,” stated Leavitt. “The Trump-Vance Transition newsletter will deliver top news, updates on the transition process, details on President Trump’s brilliant Cabinet picks, and video highlights.”
According to The Daily Wire, the first rendition of the letter explicitly calls out media bias.
The newsletter will function as a separate media outlet and will deliver “top news stories about the president-elect and his cabinet picks, as well as their road to confirmation, video highlights, and any White House transition updates that team Trump thinks the public should know about.”
The newsletter will be written by Eric Leydon and former strategic communications director for the Republican National Committee Tommy Pigott.
“Road to 47” is not the only method by which Trump and Vance are countering the establishment media. The Trump administration will also reportedly change the chart for the press briefing room, incorporating lesser-known media outlets.
