As anyone who watches crime drama knows, the number one problem that any murderer has is how to dispose of the body once the grisly deed is done. Lakes, dumps and crawlspaces are favorite places murderers use to stash the remains of their victims.
Even though they maintain that abortion is not murder, abortionists end up with the same problem as the Jeffrey Dahmers of the world. That problem is how to dispose of the remains of those whose lives they have ended.
Here in Oklahoma, we had a local abortionist who tried to solve this problem by burning dead baby bodies in a field. This same doctor was later charged with committing fraud by lying to his patients and telling them they were pregnant when they were not, and performing unnecessary abortions on them.
It appears that Planned Parenthood has turned body disposal into a profitable business of selling the remains of aborted babies to researchers. Meanwhile, a Michigan abortionist has taken up an even more Dahmer-esq solution. According to news reports, Dr Michael Roth stores the bodies of babies he’s aborted in plastic jars in his house and drives a few of them around in the trunk of his car.
These scandals reflect two truths. The first truth is that no matter how vociferously pro abortion people may deny it, abortion kills a living child. The second truth is that the American public is decidedly uncomfortable with the first truth.
Public reaction to news that abortionists are selling dead baby body parts, burning baby bodies in open fields, or keeping them in jars in the trunks of their cars is immediate. Good people are scandalized by this, and they want it stopped.
However, those same people don’t seem to “get” that the reason this upsets them is that these bodies are proof that someone was killed. Or perhaps they do “get” it, and that’s why they’re so irate.
The public wants abortion sanitized into glossy photos and what Mary Ann Glendon calls “rights talk.” They want it kept at a distance so it can be whatever they imagine. They do not want their imaginings smutted up with the reality of human corpses.
They want the myth of magical pregnancy rewind, and magical pregnancy rewinds don’t leave dead babies. A baby corpse proves that there was, at some point, a living baby. That is what they cannot abide.
The myth of pregnancy rewind is an abortion myth that sustains legal abortion in our society. It pretends that aborted pregnancies were a sort of fantasy and all the doc does is wave his magic wand and rewind things so that the woman is unpregnant.
Nobody dies in pregnancy rewind. Nobody undergoes a painful surgical procedure. Nothing happens except that reality gets reset and the person who was simply isn’t anymore. What was has never been and anyone who says differently is a radical woman hater.
Americans react violently to the grisly solutions docs devise to dispose of the bodies of the babies they have killed. They do this because the problem itself proves that abortion murders a living person. It smashes the myth of pregnancy rewind.
Those baby body parts being bartered and sold as chattel, the smoke of burning flesh rising from a field, the stench of death from the trunk of a car — all those things — are stark reminders that pregnancy rewind is fantasy, not fact. Those tiny bodies are undeniably the corpses of human beings. They are what people don’t want to know, can’t allow themselves to face.
Abortion is not a fantasy. And it does not rewind reality by making women magically unpregnant. Abortion kills a human being.
The number one thing police investigating a murder need is a body. They need the body of the murdered person to prove that a murder has, in fact, occurred.
That’s the trouble with these docs and their problematic solutions to the question of what to do with the bodies of babies they have killed. The problem isn’t the mercenary nature of selling body parts, or the messiness of burning them in a field, or even the unsavory grisliness of driving them around in the trunk of a car.
The problem is that they are the bodies of murdered people that we don’t want to admit were people. Fantasy thinking and the reality of a corpse don’t mix. These dead baby bodies are like every other body of a murdered person. They prove that a human being has died a violent death caused by another person or persons.
The myth of pregnancy rewind does not survive this reality. And that is what the scandal is about.
