CV NEWS FEED // Target hired designer and self-identified Satanist “Abprallen” to design products for their “pride line” in stores across the country. Many Target locations feature prominent LGBTQ+ apparel and accessory displays during the month of June.
This year, Target also released “tuck-friendly” bathing suits for adults and children as part of their pride line.
Abprallen has openly posted multiple times on her Instagram about her devotion to Satan. She once posted an image of a t-shirt that reads “Satan respects pronouns.”
In another post about the same design, Abprallen wrote:
Satan loves you and respects who you are; you’re important and valuable in this world and you deserve to treat yourself with love and respect. LGBT+ people are so often referred to as being a product of Satan or going against God’s will, so fine. We’ll hang with Satan instead.
Abprallen doesn’t believe that Satan is an actual being. “Satanists don’t actually believe in Satan, he is merely used as a symbol of passion, pride, and liberty,” she has posted. “He means to you what you need him to mean. So for me, Satan is hope, compassion, equality, and love.”
The Catechism of the Catholic Church makes it clear, however, that Satan is a creature of God who “was at first a good angel, made by God: ‘The devil and the other demons were indeed created naturally good by God, but they became evil by their own doing.’” (CCC 268)
“Satan respects pronouns,” Abprallen has stated:
He loves all LGBT+ people. I went with a variation of Baphomet for this design, a deity who themself is a mixture of genders, beings, ideas, and existences. They reject binary stereotypes and expectations. Perfect.
Baphomet is a pagan idol representative of Satan depicted as a creature with the head and feet of a goat and a human torso. Baphomet has both male and female traits.

Abprallen wrote that Target approached her to create these products. “These have already got the transphobes infuriated with me and I feel like quite the celebrity to think that they believe this is all some big conspiracy and I have any power to brainwash anyone when I’m just some guy drawing pictures!” she said of the products she designed.
The artist captioned one of her photos, “If I cannot inspire love, I will cause fear;” relating herself to Frankenstein’s monster.
Pro-life advocate Lila Rose tweeted that she will boycott Target for “pushing this self-hatred and sexualization on children.”
In some southern states, Target has already called for emergency meetings to move the pride displays in an attempt to avoid the same type of backlash Bud Light has received.
Fox News reported that an inside source at Target says that they “were given 36 hours, told to take all of our Pride stuff, the entire section, and move it into a section that’s a third the size. From the front of the store to the back of the store, you can’t have anything on mannequins and no large signage.”
“I think given the current situation with Bud Light, the company is terrified of a Bud Light situation,” the source added.
According to Fox News, rural stores in Arkansas, South Carolina, and Georgia have already moved and reduced the size of their pride displays.
Many others are continuing to call for a complete boycott of Target, giving them the “Bud Light Treatment.”
