CV NEWS FEED / Amid the Democratic National Convention and the release of the Democratic draft party platform, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser criticized the Democratic Party as the “Shout Your Abortion Party.”
“The Democratic National Abortion Convention puts the extremism of the Democrats on full display,” stated Dannenfelser on August 19, later adding:
From ‘free’ abortion drugs aboard the Planned Parenthood bus, to a draft party platform that uses the word abortion an unprecedented 13 times, today’s Democrats under the Harris-Walz ticket are officially the Shout Your Abortion Party.
As reported by the National Review, Planned Parenthood set up a mobile “clinic” van near the DNC this week to offer free chemical abortions to Convention attendees.
In a separate news release published August 19, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America criticized the Democratic platform unveiled this week at the DNC, which the pro-life organization called “the most pro-abortion platform in Democratic Party history.”
Among the pro-abortion elements in the platform is “[promising] ‘national legislation’ to mandate all-trimester abortion in every state,” according to the news release.
Dannenfelser said in the other August 19 news release that the Democratic candidates should be asked what their exceptions on abortion are, and noted that Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz have not addressed this topic.
“Harris and Walz won’t name a single limit on abortion they support – not in the seventh, eighth or ninth month of pregnancy when unborn babies clearly feel pain, and not even when a child is born alive following an abortion attempt,” Dannenfelser said, adding:
They stand for eliminating the most basic protections for women and girls, such as informed consent and parental involvement, and seek to shut down alternatives to abortion.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America “call[s] on the Democrats to stop ignoring the real needs of women nationwide and show that they value mothers and their babies, not just abortion,” she concluded.
