CV NEWS FEED // Students for Life Action (SFLAction) published an article Feb. 11 urging President Donald Trump and his administration to repeal the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, as it has been weaponized almost exclusively against peaceful pro-life protesters.
“The law is supposed to protect ANY location engaged on issues of reproduction — allegedly for it and against. But that hasn’t been the case,” the article stated.
SFLAction noted that during Biden’s presidency, the FACE Act was used to imprison peaceful pro-life activists while attacks on pregnancy resource centers were ignored.
The article also pointed out that Trump promised to end the weaponization of law against citizens, especially pro-life Americans.
“The pro-life movement wants more than a ‘watchful eye’ on the FACE Act from a friendly administration; we want it gone completely because of the risk it poses in the future should another radical, pro-abortion activist administration take charge,” SFLAction wrote.
On January 23, Trump pardoned 23 pro-life protesters who were convicted of violating the FACE Act by the Biden administration’s Department of Justice, as CatholicVote previously reported.
One of the pardoned activists, Bevelyn Williams, is a stay-at-home mother who spent three months in prison away from her husband and 2-year-old daughter. She discussed her experiences in an interview with Lila Rose.
