It’s too close to call in Pennsylvania.
Unfortunately CV-endorsed Kathy Barnette looks to have lost by approximately 6%.
I wrote a close friend after our endorsement a week ago: “Remember the old adage: ‘It’s never the wrong time to do the right thing.’” Barnette was an underdog, dramatically outspent, and was attacked relentlessly in the final week of the campaign.
But she stood firm and never wavered on what matters most.
Supporting candidates like Barnette sends a signal. Voters want authentic candidates with the courage to challenge both parties. We know where Democrats want to take our country. And we know that weak Republicans always disappoint us. A pro-life black woman, born in terrible circumstances, leading an insurgent campaign against huge odds sent a powerful message.
We are proud to have done what we could to rally Catholics to support Kathy Barnette.
While both of the remaining candidates (Mehmet Oz and David McCormick) were not our first choice – they both represent a stark contrast to the pro-abortion radical socialist John Fetterman.
Don’t forget Fetterman has proudly boasted: “Let’s be clear, the right to abortion is sacred.”
We’re watching the final counts (and possible recount). We’ll then decide what we do next in PA. But your CV team is also active right now in nine additional states, working on key races in both the House and Senate.
I can’t wait to share more in the coming days and weeks.
We’ve got a lot more work to do before November.
As always, thank you for standing with us.
Onward!
