CV NEWS FEED // Registration is now open for those planning to participate in the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, offering an opportunity for Catholics along the pilgrimage’s 3,340-mile route to join in witnessing to the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
The 2025 St. Katharine Drexel Route pilgrimage will begin May 18 in Indianapolis with a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, according to the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage website. Archbishop Charles Thompson of Indianapolis will preside over the Mass.
Various special events and Eucharistic processions will take place in 20 different dioceses and archdioceses during the month-long pilgrimage, which will conclude in Los Angeles June 22, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.
Events during the pilgrimage will include daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Eucharistic Processions, witness talks, and fellowship meals with the Perpetual Pilgrims, who are those accompanying Jesus along the entire route.
The National Eucharistic Pilgrimage website noted that pilgrims serving on the route will bring the Eucharistic Lord to the marginalized, especially by stopping at nursing homes, food banks, and a federal prison.
“Our world is aching for hope,” the Pilgrimage said in an email press release, “especially during this Jubilee Year of Hope. Therefore, we are bringing Hope Himself to everyone along our path.”
