CatholicVote’s Director of Programming, Josh Mercer, noted that the overturn of Roe v. Wade should be celebrated.
“It took years and years of hard political work and organizing to reach that milestone,” said Mercer, “so it’ll be good to see so many pro-lifers gathering in our nation’s capital for this occasion.”
The rally is a free event and attendees can RSVP here to receive a rally pass. The Celebrate Life Day Gala will also take place that evening at the Renaissance Washington D.C. Downtown Hotel. Tickets are available for purchase here.
“In just this first year, so many children have been saved from abortion as states across the country have fortified their laws protecting life.” Mercer added. “But there’s still work to do. That’s why we celebrate this wonderful anniversary and recommit ourselves to protecting life from coast to coast.”
In the first two months following Roe’s reversal, abortions dropped by 6% nationwide.
