CV NEWS FEED // Pro-life rosary rally group Beads for Babies is hosting a conference April 26 in Phoenix, Arizona, to help men defend the faith in their home and public lives.
Set to take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona, Living in the Breach men’s conference will feature Catholic speakers Father John Lankeit, Jesse Romero, and Paul Zucarelli.
Fr. Lankeit is the parochial vicar of Holy Cross Church. His biography states that he is “passionate about the universal call to holiness, priestly and religious vocations and building a culture of life.”
Romero is an evangelist, retired police officer, and former US middleweight kickboxing champion, according to his website. He holds a master’s degree in theology from Franciscan University.
“After rediscovering his Catholic roots, Jesse studied and prayed his way back to a fervent on-going practice of the Catholic Faith,” his website states. “Through his vast experiences with non-Catholics and fallen-away Catholics alike, Jesse has become proficient on how to ‘speak the truth in charity’ (Ephesians 4:15) and is very effective at bringing them into the fullness of truth found only in the Catholic Church.”
Zucarelli became a Catholic speaker after going through a near-death experience when he went into cardiac arrest in 2016, according to his website. He hopes that his testimony “will elevate your faith and belief in Heaven and thus help you focus your life on earth towards our ultimate home — His Kingdom.”
Beads for Babies organizes public rosaries throughout Arizona to defend the lives of the unborn. The group organized a 14-mile rosary relay in October of 2024 to oppose Arizona’s “Right to Abortion Initiative.”
