CV NEWS FEED // After the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June of 2022, many companies began paying travel costs for employees in pro-life states to abort their babies in states where it remained legal. But PublicSq is turning the tide – giving employees $5,000 bonuses when they grow their families.
PublicSq, an American-based company which acts as a “network of patriotic small businesses that allows you to find high-quality alternatives to woke corporations,” is now offering a “baby bonus” to parents welcoming a new child.
CatholicVote recently featured PublicSq in a “How to Avoid Shopping at Target” list as the company directly opposes the “woke” agendas of many major corporations.
“What better way to express this value that’s core to our beliefs than actually putting some money behind it, putting our money where our mouth is,” said the CEO and founder of the company, Michael Seifert.
PublicSq will be offering the same $5,000 bonus to any employee who adopts a child as well.
The bonus will be paid to the employee either at the birth of their baby or at the beginning of the adoption process.
“They can use [the bonus] as they please. Just as an awesome ‘thank you’ for being a great team member and to empower their family to continue to grow,” said Seifert:
There’s no restrictions on it and it’s also not limited to one child. So if you have multiple kids as an employee of our company, it’s $5,000 for the child, so if you have twins, you get ten grand. So, yeah, we want to make sure that we are supporting families and then giving them the agency to utilize these resources as they see fit.
“We think that ultimately a company is only as strong as the families that built it, and then for us, we’re a pro-family company,” he said. “We’re unashamed about that. And we’re actually the largest marketplace in the country of pro-family businesses.”
