CV NEWS FEED // The Holy Father has sent a letter to Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Pro-prefect of the Dicastery of Evangelization at the Vatican, officially announcing him as papal delegate to the National Eucharistic Congress.
The letter stated that Cardinal Tagle’s appointment as envoy for the event was a response to the request from Archbishop Timothy Broglio, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Archbishop of the Military Ordinariate.

In Pope Francis’s name, the Cardinal will also “greet the Archbishop of the Military Ordinariate, the holy Prelates, all the faithful gathered there, priests, religious men and women, public authorities, and lay faithful,” and thereby convey “encouragement for a more fervent devotion to the Eucharist and also Our benevolence to all participants.”
