Planned Parenthood announced this week that it will stop accepting payment for human body parts. The announcement comes after the release of several videos that show Planned Parenthood executives selling specific body parts, such as a heart or a liver, usually for around $50 per body part.
According to Cecile Richards, the organization’s president, the decision to stop accepting payment “removes beyond the shadow of a doubt the ludicrous idea that Planned Parenthood has any financial interest in fetal tissue donation.”
Lovely. They now give away free body parts. This can only end in a Nobel Peace Prize.
But does Cecile Richards really expect us to believe Planned Parenthood has no financial interest in fetal tissue?
Because in spite of the new policy regarding the sale of individual body parts, it appears that Planned Parenthood fully intends to keep charging its walk-in customers up to $1,500 to procure an entire dead fetus. And that’s just in the first trimester. The price goes way up after that.
Granted, the fetus might be disassembled in the process, but all the parts will be there, and that’s a Planned Parenthood guarantee, yes ma’am.
So clearly no financial interest there.
