CV NEWS FEED // A Phoenix diocese official has issued a reflection on the success of Bishop Thomas Olmsted’s “Together Let Us Go Forth” campaign.
The Together Let Us Go Forth campaign is a three-year initiative designed to support the future of local Catholic churches, schools, charities, and the faithful.
In a recent article of The Catholic Sun, Phoenix diocese official Debbie DiCarlo highlighted the abundant fruits of the capital campaign, which beloved and retired Bishop of Phoenix, Most Reverend Thomas Olmsted, who led the Diocese of Phoenix from 2003 to 2022, launched.
According to DiCarlo, the campaign has seen outstanding success in bolstering local Catholic institutions amid challenges.
The Diocese of Phoenix has been able to support initiatives like building a high school, expanding Newman Centers, strengthening elementary and high schools, and supporting Catholic nonprofits. Despite turbulent times, including the pandemic and economic instability, the community “stretched and gave in faith and still continues to give,” she said.
DiCarlo emphasized that as the campaign begins to approach its completion, now is a moment for gratitude. She also thanked Bishop Olmsted for his visionary leadership in pursuing this ambitious goal.
DiCarlo concluded, “There is so much more to come as we continue the path of building a Church of disciples equipped to evangelize, share God’s deep, abiding love and mercy for all!”
