UPDATE: Yet another Catholic church has been vandalized — this time in Philadelphia. Enough is enough. We wrote a letter demanding that the Department of Justice take a stand against the rise in violent attacks against Catholic symbols, shrines, statues, and churches across the United States over the past year.
There has been a disturbing rise in violence against Catholicism in the US.
In total, there are at least 121 documented incidents against Catholicism since May 2020.
It needs to stop.
That’s why we wrote to the Department of Justice demanding they investigate these incidents. Stand with us as we demand justice.
We believe religious liberty is a foundational principle of enduring importance in America, enshrined in the First Amendment of our Constitution and federal law. The vandalism we are seeing today is quickly rising to levels that haven’t been seen since the late 1800s and early 1900s from organized groups such as the Know-Nothings and the Ku Klux Klan.
It is imperative that the Department of Justice investigate these incidents.
