Nevada 2024

A constitutional amendment will be placed on the November ballot to legalize abortion prior to fetal viability or “when needed to protect the life or health of the pregnant patient.” This amendment is known as the “Nevada Reproductive Rights Amendment,” and it would amend Article I of the Nevada Constitution.

Nevadians for Reproductive Freedom is the primary Political Action Committee (PAC) advocating for the amendment, and it would establish abortion as a fundamental right and would not allow any other state interest to infringe, restrict, or deny this right. The amendment needs a simple majority to pass.

The Nevada Catholic Conference opposes this constitutional amendment  and the efforts seeking to permanently place the right to abortion in our state constitution.

— Why should Catholics vote early? —

While the Left accumulates early votes over a month-long period prior to November 7th, Republicans’ strategic efforts are often confined to a mere 12 hours on Election Day. This must change. Increasing Catholic voter turnout during the early-voting period ensures that Catholic voters make it to the ballot box. This results in a net gain for candidates who represent Catholic values in our government. Voting early in-person provides the same experience as voting on election day, ensuring your vote counts towards saving our country.

“We’re building the largest Catholic voter mobilization program ever.”
