CV NEWS FEED // The National Eucharistic Revival is urging Catholics to join its ongoing “Walk with One” initiative to help reconnect those who have drifted away from the Church.
In an August 21 email, the Revival encouraged Catholics to reach out to someone in their life who may have lapsed in their faith. The news release assured that there is “no special training or degree required” for this mission.
“Sometimes all it takes for someone who is not in relationship with the Lord—either because they’ve never encountered him or have fallen away—to begin a journey to him is to know that they are seen, heard, and loved,” the email reads.
As CatholicVote has previously reported, the “Walk With One” initiative is part of the third year of the National Eucharistic Revival, the Year of Mission.
The Revival shared its resource page for individuals who are interested but may not know how to get started. The page offers a guide on how to support others in their spiritual journey, along with a Eucharistic Examen to help pray for them while deepening one’s own relationship with God.
“By virtue of your baptismal calling, YOU have a role to play in God’s plan to bring people you know and love into relationship with Christ,” the Revival’s email stated, later adding, “[w]hen you step out in faith, you give God permission to work through you to make an eternal difference in someone’s life.”
