The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments Dec. 1 in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The question before the Court is whether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortions are unconstitutional. The case gives the Supreme Court the opportunity to reconsider the abortion precedents established in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which have prevented states from passing laws to protect unborn babies before viability.
CatholicVote has been keeping a close eye on how pro-life Members of Congress respond, understanding that if our side is silent the pro-abortion media (though we repeat ourselves) will define the issue.
On the Senate side, Sen. Jim Lankford, R-OK, led the support. On the House side there was a very healthy response from our elected allies – a very good start!
