CV NEWS FEED // In honor of Jeanne Mancini’s 12 years as president of the March for Life, the organization has established the Jeanne F. Mancini Fund for Life.
As CatholicVote previously reported, Mancini is stepping down from her role on Feb. 1, and this week’s 2025 March for Life is her last as president of the organization.
“As we reflect on Jeanne’s years of steadfast leadership, we extend our deepest gratitude for her dedication to the pro-life movement and the countless lives she has touched,” a Jan. 9 email from the March for Life stated.
The fund will help provide education resources for training pro-life advocates, bolster state marches, and aid pro-life voices in the media.
“We aim to celebrate Jeanne’s unwavering commitment to advancing pro-life advocacy and her vision for a brighter future,” the email stated. “By giving, you honor her legacy and become a vital part of a movement that is transforming hearts and minds.”
Mancini’s biography states that Mancini’s role included speaking to pro-life groups across the country. Several national news outlets have interviewed her or featured her writings.
She also currently serves as a consultant to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)’s pro-life committee.
The Sisters of Life awarded Mancini the Cardinal O’Connor award in 2020, and the Catholic Information Center awarded her the St. John Paul II New Evangelization Award in 2021.
The March for Life previously named Jennie Bradley Lichter, deputy general counsel for The Catholic University of America, as Mancini’s successor.
