| GOP SENATOR MIGHT MISS FINAL VOTE Sen. Steve Daines, R-MT, said he will be walking his daughter down the aisle on Saturday, no matter what. An expected confirmation vote is set for approximately 5 pm Saturday. If Daines’ vote isn’t needed, the Senate will simply vote to confirm Kavanaugh. But if his vote is needed, the vote will be postponed until very early Sunday morning. (Another possibility: A senator who intends to vote “no” could cast a “present” vote as a favor for Daines, and allow all the senators to return home rather than wait another day for Daines to return.
