BISHOP ASKS STATE TO INVESTIGATE Saint Louis Archbishop Robert Carlson invited Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley to conduct an independent review of the archdiocese’s files on clergy sexual abuse. SEMINARY INVESTIGATION Seton Hall University in New Jersey has announced an independent review of accusations of sexual abuse and harassment against seminarians. CHANGE IN ONTARIO The new Conservative government in Ontario, Canada, said that teachers will be punished if they continue to use a graphic sex education program instituted by the previous Liberal government. PAID FAMILY LEAVE PLANS Lawmakers from both parties have introduced paid parental leave programs. A plan by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, would raise payroll taxes. A plan by Sen.
