FREEDOM FOR FAITH-BASED GROUPS At least 2,000 children were disrupted and thousands more foster parents lost from the system after liberal activists forced Catholic Charities to close adoption and foster care services in Illinois, said Steve Roach, executive director of Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Springfield. Now Roach is calling for Congress to pass the Child Welfare Provider Inclusion Act, to prohibit local governments from discriminating against faith-based adoption and foster care groups. READ |
