FBI AGENT AGREES TO TESTIFY  The FBI agent explicitly named throughout the Justice Department’s inspector general report has volunteered to testify before Congress. Agent Peter Strzok is a veteran counterintelligence officer who sent anti-Trump texts to a fellow agent (with who he was romantically involved). House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte had started the process to subpoena Strzok. READ
GOP CONCEDING RUST BELT?  This story will have implications in 2020. Political writee Josh Kraushaar: “Senate Republicans are all but conceding that Democratic senators will be coasting to reelection in Midwestern states that Trump narrowly carried. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, notably, has left off Democratic seats in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio, when he listed off the most competitive races for this year’s midterms.”  READ

MANAFORT TO JAIL  Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was led off to federal jail after pleading not guilty to charges of obstruction. Manafort was charged in October with money laundering, tax evasion, and conspiracy. READ
IRELAND & ABORTION  Ireland’s prime minister says that Catholic hospitals will be required to perform abortion. The outrageous proposal comes just weeks after the Irish voters eliminated their pro-life amendment to their country’s constitution. READ
MASCULINITY & FATHERHOOD  A masculine example of holiness is absolutely vital for children. A study found if a father doesn’t attend church, no matter how faithful his wife’s devotions — only one child in 50 will become a regular worshipper. If a father does go regularly, 75% of the children will continue as churchgoers. READ
EXPLOITING WOMEN IS A SIN  Pope Francis said it’s a “sin against God” to exploit women in revealing television ads or when getting a job is contingent on sexual favors. “In television programs, in magazines, in newspapers, they show the woman as an object of desire, of use,” said Pope Francis. READ
