LOOP: Lawmaker refuses to apologize for harassing woman in prayer

CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS The Justice Department informed the House Judiciary Committee that Attorney General Bill Barr is not afraid of a potential contempt of Congress vote. Barr may seek executive privilege if the panel moves forward with a vote to find Barr in contempt of Congress for failing to testify before the panel. READ
ONLINE BACKLASH Pennsylvania lawmaker Brian Sims responded to the negative reaction to his video in which he harassed a woman for praying the Rosary. But in a new video, Sims did not apologize but accused protesters of “racism” and hurling “insults.”  READ
COUNTER THE HATE Columnist Matt Walsh and pro-life activist Abby Johnson are holding a rally in Philadelphia in response to Rep. Brian Sims’ harassment of peaceful pro-life protesters. READ
TRUMP WINS IN COURTThe 9th Circuit gave the President Trump a temporary victory by allowing his administration to send asylum-seekers back to Mexico while constitutional challenges to his policy make their way through the judicial system. The court admitted they allowed the policy in part because of Mexico’s commitment to ensure the safety of asylum-seekers. READ 
IMMIGRATIONPresident Trump has apparently signed off on the immigration plan devised by his son-in-law Jared Kushner. The plan would not change the number of legal immigrants accepted every year, but would make the system more merit-based. The plan was shared with several GOP senators at the White House. Sen. Tom Cotton, an immigration hardliner, said he “heard large areas of agreement from everyone in the room.” READ 
GREEN NEW DEAL  Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, is set to star in a second documentary. This time the documentary will be on the Green New Deal. Cortez stars in a Netflix documentary called “Knock Down the House” which celebrates her primary upset in 2018. READ 
TRUMP’S BUSINESS RECORD The New York Times ran a story claiming that Donald Trump lost more than $1 billion from 1985 to 1994. An attorney for President Trump said the information was “demonstrably false.”  READ 
DEMOCRAT INFIGHTING State Rep. John Rogers is mad at Sen. Doug Jones for privately agreeing with his comments on abortion, but publicly rebuking him. Now Rogers is mounting a primary challenge against Jones. Rogers gained national attention for saying “kill them now or kill them later” in support of abortion. Jones is considered the most vulnerable Senate Democrat up for election in 2020.  READ 
LIFE AT TIMES SQUARE Abby Johnson’s unborn child made an on-screen debut through a 4-D ultrasound in Times Square at a pro-life rally to promote the movie Unplanned. Broadcaster Kevin McCullough described the moment the child was visible on the big screens: “In the middle of literally the world’s busiest intersection, a quiet fell across multiple blocks that was so deafening you could literally have heard a pin drop.” READ 
NO FEMALE DEACONS Pope Francis said there were no plans for female deacons, but that study of the issue would continue. READ
