IOWA PASSES MAJOR PRO-LIFE BILL The Iowa Legislature has passed a heartbeat bill which would ban abortions as soon as a fetal heartbeat is detected, or roughly around the sixth week of pregnancy. Iowa Republicans say they’re unafraid of a legal challenge if Gov. Kim Reynolds signs the bill. “It is time for the Supreme Court to weigh in on the issue of life.
