CatholicVote took a big risk when we applauded RFK’s move to the Trump campaign last summer.
But let’s be honest – sometimes, bold moves bring about the greatest change.
Today, that risk and our dedication paid off as RFK Jr. was confirmed as the new Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Let the transformation begin.
RFK Jr. is set to overhaul the pharmaceutical and medical industries… but more importantly, he has the potential to incite a major shift in the fight against abortion.
Surprised? A pro-choice, former Democrat could be the most pro-life HHS Secretary in history? That’s right.
Here’s how.
At CatholicVote, we’ve had an unexpected history with RFK Jr.
When few believed that he could take open action in support of our pro-life values as Catholics, we took a chance on him – and we ended up working with him in critical ways over the last several months.
At first, we weren’t sure if he would embrace our cause: to build a culture where abortion is unthinkable. But after engaging with his campaign, we quickly recognized that RFK Jr. wasn’t like other politicians.
He’s willing to engage on issues of faith, life, and solidarity.
So we jumped in, running a massive election ad with RFK Jr. calling on Catholics to unite in support of Trump – even while publicly confronting him on abortion.
RFK shares our commitment to a future in which science replaces ideology in our research institutions, where young people feel supported and free to bring children into the world, and where our elected leaders safeguard conscience freedoms.
This is where we need to work together.
Now, this is important…
RFK Jr. has openly acknowledged that abortion is a moral crisis that America can no longer ignore. During his Senate hearing, RFK Jr. spoke directly to the heart of the pro-life cause: “Every abortion is a tragedy… We cannot be a moral nation with 1.2 million abortions a year.”
That’s not to overlook the fact that RFK Jr. just doesn’t fit the traditional pro-life mold. But as Secretary of HHS, he is poised to fight for the well-being of the American people – including the most vulnerable – by dismantling the systems that profit from abortion. And he’s promised to back Trump’s pro-life policies.
This is what you’ve made possible.
Because of you, CatholicVote helped elevate RFK Jr. as a leader in the movement to transform our country – now he’s in a position to make real change.
But our work is far from over.
CatholicVote is ready to escalate our efforts, working alongside RFK Jr. and any politician who is committed to real progress for faith, family, and freedom. It’s our job to help him understand what that vision looks like and how we will achieve it.
We must challenge the influence of big government, big tech, big pharma, and corporations that profit from the suffering of mothers and children.
We need to expose the corporate interests fueling much of the damage to our society.
And we need greater accountability for those profiting off this death culture.
This is our chance to work with RFK and to build a culture of life.
We’re committed to helping him in every way we can to make that happen.
