CV NEWS FEED // The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the suspect who attacked a pregnancy resource center in Alaska by painting swastikas on the building and leaving nails in the parking lot.
Alaska Public Media reports that the incident happened after midnight on October 20 at the HeartReach Center in Wasilla, Alaska. The suspect wore dark clothing, a hood, and a face mask.
The FBI may prosecute the suspect under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, according to FBI spokesperson Chloe Martin.
This act has historically been used to jail pro-life activists like Eva Edl, Heather Idoni, and Chester Gallagher, as CatholicVote has previously reported.
HeartReach’s website states that it offers free and confidential pregnancy and sexual health care. It offers pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, testing for sexually transmitted diseases, and care from the center’s mobile medical unit.
HeartReach also offers mentoring programs for women with unexpected pregnancies, and those who regret their abortions.
The website lists parenting, adoption, and abortion as options for an unplanned pregnancy. However, it warns of the risks associated with abortion and lists an abortion pill reversal hotline. It also notes that the organization does “not provide or refer for abortions.”
