CV NEWS FEED // FBI Agent Erika Jensen this week confirmed that the infamous Hunter Biden laptop did indeed belong to him, contradicting past claims by leaders in the intelligence community that the laptop story was a hoax.
Jensen made the admission under oath as a witness in a Delaware case against Biden for allegedly illegally purchasing a firearm as a drug addict.
Biden’s laptop was identified through serial numbers and Apple records, and Jensen confirmed the FBI found no evidence of tampering with the device.
Jensen’s testimony directly contradicts claims by leading intelligence officials and President Joe Biden that the laptop was nothing more than a Russian hoax meant to steer the 2020 presidential election in favor of Republicans.
Biden’s then-Senior Campaign Advisor Antony Blinken orchestrated a letter signed by 51 U.S. intelligence authorities which denied the possibility of the laptop belonging to the younger Biden. The letter proved a potent weapon against those who tried to raise the alarm about the laptop scandal in the days leading up to Election Day 2020.
Biden was able to dismiss the laptop scandal during a live 2020 presidential debate against former President Donald Trump, citing the abovementioned letter.
The Biden administration later claimed there was no “political interference” in favor of Biden during the FBI’s investigations of his son.
Additionally, Big Tech, social media, and media conglomerates actively blocked and deprioritized content relating to the laptop during the days between the story breaking and Election Day 2020. The censorship of news and content on platforms such as X (then Twitter) reportedly came at the request of intelligence officials.
In 2023, former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morrell testified about the laptop, the media’s coverage, and Blinken’s letter, saying it “helped to strategize about the public release of the statement,” Fox later reported.
“There were two intents,” Morrell said. “One intent was to share our concern with the American people that the Russians were playing on this issue; and, two, it was to help Vice President Biden.” Asked why he would want to help Biden, Morrell answered: “Because I wanted him to win the election.”
The House Oversight Committee this week released a criminal referral for Hunter Biden.
According to FOX, Attorney General Merrick Garland and Special Counsel David Weiss received criminal referrals from House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-KY, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-OH, and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-MO.
In the referral, Jordan, Comer, and Smith indicated that the committees “attach to this letter a referral for criminal charges against Hunter Biden and James Biden, under 18 U.S.C. § 1001 (false statements), and, additionally, for Hunter Biden under 18 U.S.C. § 1621 (perjury).”
“As the attached referral shows,” the lawmakers continued,
Hunter Biden and James Biden made provably false statements to the Oversight Committee and the Judiciary Committee about key aspects of the impeachment inquiry, in what appears to be a conscious effort to hinder the investigation’s focus on President Joe Biden.
The referrals overlap with Hunter Biden’s current legal battle which began in September of 2023. The committee’s letter stated:
The Department of Justice should consider Hunter Biden’s prior alleged criminal activity when evaluating whether to charge him for the false statements described in the attached. Because Hunter Biden was federally indicted in two different jurisdictions at the time of his Congressional deposition, he was also subject to two federal court orders stating that he could not commit any crimes while on federal supervised release.
