Most Republicans are still trying to make the modified AHCA plan work, but they remain united on making sure there is a some plan to replace Obamacare which can get majority support in the House.
Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., said the party has backup plans to turn to if the American Health Care Act fails. Meadows emphasized that he is “all-in” on the latest bill.
“We’re gonna vote on something that has 218 votes in the House,” Meadows told reporters Friday. “It is either this or a backup plan B or C.” …
But Meadows emphasized that he is pushing for a vote on the American Health Care Act with a new amendment that would let states opt out of certain Obamacare insurance requirements.
